Obsidian
Terrace (Seabird Caves)/Shellmount (White Forest) and Signal
Caldera/Shell Flow (Ohlone Shore) are
two of numerous proposals/studies generated during the conceptualization
and installation of Untitled
(Lava Wake), for the Candlestick
Point Environmental Art Project, 1985-87. Both of these concepts
have kiln fired elements used to create obsidian glass-like
elements.
