Approx. 4 in x 16 in x 29 in / glazed ceramic / circa 1972

Part of a series developed with a mold of a water surface, used in many works from this time period.

Sea Crow Tableau I

Approx. 16 in x 18 in x 36 in / glazed ceramic, wood / circa 1972

Inspired by illustrations from Diderot's Encyclopedia, the ruins at Machu Picchu and jacket sewing patterns
as well as explorations of the northern California coast. A narrative of a structure that crows would fly through
can probably be traced to the stories of Don Juan by Carlos Casteneda.
